How safe are your systems?
Businesses today are faced with an ever increasing number of threats to their system security and integrity. These include viruses, worms, trojan horses, and hackers. But' don't forget, there are other threats too, such as fire and theft and even negligent or wilful damage caused by employees.
What solutions should you apply and how do you go about implementing them?
Knowing which solutions to choose and how to implement them can be a daunting task. We can implement any of a number of products to help reduce or eliminate these risks. We supply firewalls, sophisticated anti-virus and intrusion detection systems, strong authentication products and finger print recognition and encryption devices.
Data can be encrypted on PCs, Notebooks, USB Flash Drives and more, preventing loss or theft of business critical or sensitive information.
Justifying the expenditure on a perceived risk or threat to your business is sometimes understandably difficult. But think of it in terms of the potential losses you could incur should the worst happen.
Let us carry out an audit for you and recommend a sensible and practical solution to protect your IT systems against the ever growing number of threats.

SYSTEM SECURITY THREATS
Malicious
Unintentional
Physical
There are basically three kinds of threats and danger to your IT systems. These range in severity from nothing more than being a little nuisance right up to a complete and total catastrophe.
|
Malicious - these include viruses, worms, trojans, spoofing, hacking, spamming and the list goes on.
|
Unintentional - Other threats include system malfunctions or accidents and human error. |
Physical - these include damage caused by fire, flood, power loss, vandalism or theft. |
|
There are literally thousand and thousands of different viruses and malicious software lurking on the Internet to infect the system and networks of the unwary and unprotected.
There is one big threat to security which is often overlooked and that is the risk of data being stolen on to a USB Flash Drive. This is a small device with high storage capacity and it means huge amounts of sensitive data or complete systems can be stolen without anyone noticing.
Computer Economics has published its assessment of the damage worldwide caused by malicious code attacks in 2001 - the figure comes in at a whopping $13.2 billion - Source: The Register
Disputed by some, but whatever the figure is, it's most certainly huge and despite more sophisticated defences the threat is a very real one. Don't leave it until it's too late. Don't become another statistic.
